Jacques Adnet

Architect, interior designer and modern furniture designer Jacques Adnet was known for his modern creations and for using opulent materials like leather, wood and smoked glass. After studying in the Auxerre École de design and École nationale supérieure des beaux arts in Paris, Adnet founded the JJ Adnet company. During the Salon d’Automne and the Expositions des arts décoratifs, he got rave reviews from critics, who described him as an emerging designer. In 1928, he found himself at the head of the renowned Compagnie des arts français, where he remained until 1959.
