Frits Henningsen

As a cabinetmaker, Frits Henningsen’s all-consuming focus on quality and craftsmanship defined his work. Though some designers leave the construction to others, Henningsen built his own designs; and he pulled inspiration from conversations he had with the customers at his Copenhagen furniture studio. As he learned about his customers’ desires and needs, he applied that new knowledge to his work. Throughout his career, Henningsen’s designs leaned heavily on period styles, which he reinterpreted with a modern flare.
