Considered the oldest and most prestigious waxworks in the world, Cire Trudon was founded by Claude Trudon, who first arrived in Paris in 1643, where he acquired a boutique located on rue Saint-Honoré. Working as a merchant and wax worker, he built his first factory, from which he would provide his customers with candles for domestic lighting and tapers for the parish.
The Trudon family has ensured the company’s longevity over the years by refining their talents from generation to generation. As a result, the company has stood the test of time without ever interrupting its activities, thanks notably to the creation of traditional tapers and scented candles. The factory’s unique and lavish candles are still manufactured by hand.
